Certified Life Coach | CBT | Solution-Focused Therapy | Motivational Interviewing

Shavone Marie Williams is a licensed Clinical Social Worker. She entered the social work career largely due to her family background, having been raised by a single father while her mother struggled with issues that meant she could not fulfill her role as a parent. As an adult in her twenties, Shavone saw her mother sitting on a bench in Kentucky. Upon welcoming her mother into her home, she discovered her mother not only suffered from homelessness, but bipolar disorder, major depression, and substance abuse. This situation made Shavone wonder– what if, in her mother’s younger years, she had met someone who was supportive and understanding? What if she knew a person who was kind and selfless and invested in helping her become the best version of herself? It was then that Shavone decided to enter the field of social work, to provide help to those who could not help themselves and aid those in need.

Shavone attended Campbellsville University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, later returning to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work. She also acquired her LCSW and became a qualified Supervisor. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida Department of Health, the Illinois Division of Professional Regulation, and the Texas Department of State Health Services.
